Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about services, coaching, and speaking

What ages of children do you work with?
I work with families of autistic children and adolescents from infancy through adulthood. My coaching approach is tailored to the developmental stage and specific needs of the individual and family, whether they are newly diagnosed or navigating later-in-life discovery.
Do you offer online or in-person sessions?
I offer both online and in-person sessions depending on your preference and location. Online sessions are conducted via secure video call and are effective for coaching, consultations, and certain workshops. For intensive workshops or in-person training, travel arrangements can be discussed.
How long are coaching sessions and how many do I need?
Standard coaching sessions are 60 minutes. The number of sessions needed varies based on your goals and circumstances, typically ranging from 6-12 sessions for foundational support. I provide customized packages and can discuss what works best for your situation during an initial consultation.
What makes your approach different?
My approach combines evidence-based strategies with lived experience as a mother of an autistic child. I take a neurodiversity-affirming, strength-based approach that celebrates autism rather than pathologizing it, while providing practical, actionable support for family wellbeing and inclusive participation.
Can you help with school communication and advocacy?
Yes, I provide coaching on how to effectively communicate with schools, build partnerships with educators, and advocate for your child's needs. I can help you develop individualized education plans, communicate accommodations, and navigate school systems using inclusive practices.
What if my child is not yet diagnosed?
I work with families at all stages of the autism journey, including those exploring whether autism may be relevant to their child. I can provide guidance on assessment, interpretation of results, and support regardless of diagnosis status. My focus is on understanding your child's unique profile and supporting their thriving.
